What is A2 Paneer?

A2 refers to the type of milk protein
Most milk contains a mix of A1 and A2 proteins, but our paneer is made exclusively with A2 milk – the original protein cows produced thousands of years ago, before modern dairy farming.

If you've felt uncomfortable after eating dairy, it might not be lactose. Research suggests the A1 protein in conventional milk can cause digestive issues. A2 milk offers a gentler alternative.

This could be the best paneer on the market
I've been cooking Indian for over 40 years based on my belief that this plant protein diet is exceptional but I include dairy as well. I've mail-ordered paneer for some years and thought it satisfactory for my ventures. But this paneer has really double-downed on the essence: it is bonded into a strong resemblance to the meat it replaces. It fries up fast without extra moisture spitting out of the pan.

Surprisingly versatile

Our name, Sach, means "honest" in Hindi - and that's been our promise since day one.
Jasleen and Tarush Agarwal started Sach Foods in 2019 in their San Francisco apartment because they couldn't find paneer in the U.S. that matched the quality they grew up with in India. So they made it themselves — small batches, simple ingredients, no shortcuts.
Seven years later, we're in over 4,000 stores nationwide, including Whole Foods, Target, and now Costco. We're still family-owned, still obsessed with quality, and still the only small-batch artisanal paneer brand in America.
